“You cannot just call yourself a leader and expect others to follow”, a notable quote from one of the Defence Force instructors at this year’s Services Academies Basic Leaders Course.  At least 70 students from many other Academies attended this weeklong course held at the RNZAF Base Auckland (Whenuapai).

The course is designed to provide the students with the basis from which to develop the confidence and competence to effectively lead within their Services Academy.
Sam Gubb and Kitei Teoni stepped up and passed the course. Both students have returned to the Services Academy and are immediately adding value to our training.
