He rawe! What an incredible time we had last week celebrating Te Reo Māori Language Week across the school. It has been a time of connection, learning, and fun as our whole kura embraced the richness of te reo.

Highlights of the Week:

• ‘Catch Me If You Can’ Competition: This popular challenge ran all week long! Classrooms featured posters with six key Te Reo Māori words for teachers to use. Students loved the flipped-role dynamic of politely reminding teachers to use te reo instead of English. Earning a ticket into the prize draw made everyone eager to keep teachers on their toes!
• Rumaki Trip to Henderson Intermediate: Our Rumaki students enjoyed an inspiring visit to Henderson Intermediate, strengthening bonds and sharing in a wonderful bilingual experience.
• Friday Staff Kahoot: Staff tested their knowledge in a fiercely competitive and entertaining Friday Kahoot session, wrapping up the week with plenty of laughs.
• Waiata Under the Bubble & Prize Draw: We brought everyone together under the bubble for a powerful session of waiata before the highly anticipated prize draw for the 'Catch Me If You Can' competition.
