With only 1 training session together as a team, the junior girls volleyball team went to Bruce Pulman Arena on Saturday, September 19th, to take part in a qualifying tournament for the Central West competition that will start in Term 4.

Despite the early start and a few nervous moments in their first game, the girls managed to compose themselves, show a manawanui spirit and came from behind to win the match. 

Overall, the team won 2 of their 3 matches and has gained entry into the Central West competition. A fantastic start to the upcoming season.
