On Saturday, 17th October, nearly 200 students and their supporters from schools across Northland, Auckland, Waikato, and the Bay of Plenty gathered at Waitākere College for the Northern Area Services Academy Graduation Parade.

The graduation ceremony provides Services Academy students with a final opportunity to celebrate a year of achievement.

The Top Student Award for Waitākere College Services Academy 2026 was awarded to Sam Gubb, while the Leadership Award went to Kitei Teoni. Both students have excelled this year in their Services Academy courses.

The reviewing officer was Lieutenant Commander Sarah Campbell of the Royal New Zealand Navy, who is also a former Waitākere College student.

Other Services Academies present included Kaitāia College, Huntly College, Te Kūiti High School, Ruawai College, Tikipunga High School, Te Puke High School, Kelston Boys’ High School, Tamaki College, Glenfield College, Te Haikura A Kiwa, Tangaroa College, and Saint Paul’s College.
