This week, our ISC seniors (Room 5) enjoyed a fantastic outing to Henderson Bowling Club for the Special Olympics Lawn Bowls Have a Go Day!

For many students, this was their first experience of lawn bowls, and they loved the chance to try this inclusive sport. Students learned how to roll their bowls down the green, aiming to get as close as possible to the jack, the small target ball, to score points. They also had a go using a rookie ball, helping them build confidence, practise their technique and get involved in the action.

There were plenty of great rolls, friendly coaching and lots of encouragement as students cheered each other on and celebrated their successes. It was wonderful to see everyone embracing the challenge of trying something new and having fun together.

A huge thank you to Henderson Bowling Club and Special Olympics for providing such a welcoming and inclusive opportunity for our students.
