On November 10th, we had the privilege of celebrating the outstanding success of our business students in the Young Enterprise Scheme (YES).

This year, two groups represented our kura at the awards evening - a testament to their dedication, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. They created businesses, established a presence in their communities, sold their products, and excelled in the YES challenges. They should be extremely proud of their achievements!

The big winner of the year was Rerenga Raranga (Rosie Dent and Milla Lauvale) who were named the Company of the Year for West Auckland! A huge achievement as they now head to Wellington to compete at the Nationals finals!  This is a huge achievement for these Year 12 girls whose business proudly represents their Māori culture!  They have also won the Excellence Award in Marketing and Communication!  Give them a follow on Instagram to check out what they're up to next! 

Athlettium (Trixshia Castor and Shane Cea) were our other big winners, who secured the People's Choice Award with their sustainable shoe moisture absorber pouches. You can follow their journey on Instagram here.

These achievements are a testament to the commitment, resilience, and ambition demonstrated by our young entrepreneurs throughout the year. Both teams have embraced the challenges of building a business, transforming their ideas into reality and developing skills that will serve them well beyond the classroom.
